ST. MARY’S SCHOOL 2015 FIELD HOCKEY CAMP

TUESDAY, AUGUST 18, 9:00-11:30
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19, 9:00-11:30
THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 9:00-11:30

FOR ALL STUDENTS ENTERING 4TH, 5TH (junior varsity) 6TH, 7TH, AND 8TH (varsity) 

THIS FREE CAMP PREPARES OUR ATHLETES FOR THEIR SEASON OF 2(JV)-4(V) GAMES

Regular practices will be afterschool on Meadow Field on Wednesdays and Thursdays 3:45-5:00 starting Wednesday, September 2nd (pickup at the field)

The coaches will walk the players to the fields.

THE CAMPERS SHOULD BRING EYE GOGGLES, MOUTH GUARD, STICK, CLEATS, SHIN GUARDS AND A LABELED WATER BOTTLE
(We have 8 extra sticks for students who are just trying out this sport.)

Summer Blog Post #2 - July 22, 2015

Have you already had your first "Back to School" moment?  That overwhelming desire to shop for supplies or begin your summer reading?  Be sure to check the "Back to School" page of our school blog for all the information you need.  Supply lists are now available for all grades.  Parents of students entering grade 6 and students joining our Middle School for the first time this year are reminded to make an iPad Deployment Appointment with Mrs. Hatch.   Click here to visit the "Back to School" page.

Thinking about school uniforms?  An updated spreadsheet of used uniforms is available.  Click here.  Through August 3rd, Lands' End is offering free logos.  Click here.  Logos are OPTIONAL for polo shirts, sweatshirts and sweaters.  Keep in mind that you can use Lands' End gift cards available from our CHOICE program to make your school uniform purchases.

Alumni News

Our congratulations to Sarah Jessen, SMS Class of '13, on being named to the 2015 NAfME All-National Symphony Orchestra sponsored by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Sarah will join 670 of the most musically talented and skilled high school students in the United States for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: performing on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 28, 2015. This marks the second year Jessen will participate in the event.

We also extend our congratulations to Katheryn Pettibone, SMS Class of '14, on achieving First Honors for the fourth quarter at East Catholic High School.

Summer Fun

Has your family had the opportunity to visit the CT Science Center in Hartford?  Stop by the SMS Office to pick up passes for free youth admission (under age 18).  These passes are good until 12/31/15.  Our thanks to Mr. Scott Sirianni for sharing these passes with our school.
