News for the Week of 3/9/18










The Art Show that was scheduled for Friday, 3/2/18,  has been POSTPONED and will now take place at our school on "Moving Up Knight" on Wednesday, March 14.
















Mark Your Calendars - Wednesday, 3/14/18, is "Moving up Knight" Featuring the Art Show. "Moving Up Knight" begins at 6:30pm on Wednesday, 3/14, in the Parish Center.  Parents are invited to arrive at 6pm for an "Art Show Preview".

This year, "Moving Up Knight" will host our Art Show.The parish center will be transformed into an art gallery and cafe.  Enjoy a glass of wine and delicious appetizers and desserts as you tour the gallery and purchase your child(ren)'s beautifully framed artwork.   Please use the Sign Up Genius to let us know you will be attending - Click here.  If you have already RSVP'ed and can still attend, no need to sign up again.

This is also your first chance to get a peek at the classroom(s) and curriculum your child(ren) will experience next year.   You are also invited to take a peek in other grades as well in case you are curious about the curriculum at other levels.  We look forward to seeing you there!  

We encourage you to bring your signed Family Enrollment Form & Fee to finalize your 2018-19 enrollment.

"Moving Up Knight" is for parents.  Students will enjoy "moving up" activities and tour the Art Show during the school day on 3/14. 



Check Your Email - Family Enrollment Packets were emailed to all families on Monday, 3/5/18.  If you did not receive your packet, please contact the school office.  You are encouraged to return your signed Family Enrollment Form and $250 Family Enrollment Fee at your earliest convenience but no later than Monday, March 26, 2018.





Second Trimester Report Cards will be available via the Educonnect Parent Portal at the end of the school day on Friday, 3/16/18.  Please note that no paper copy of the report card will be sent home. 




The Open Order Period for April Hot Lunches will begin on Monday, 3/12/18.  The Open Order Period will close on Friday, 3/16/18.

All orders should be placed via the Educonnect Parent Portal.  This is the only opportunity to order hot lunches for April.  Payments should be sent into the office as soon as your order is placed.





Living Stations of the Cross - All are invited to attend our 8th grade's presentation of the Living Stations of the Cross on Friday, 3/16/18.  Students will attend the 9:30am presentation.  There will be an additional presentation at 7pm for the Parish and others who may not be able to attend the morning presentation.



Catalogs & order forms were sent home with students on 2/23.  There are sample bags on display in the school office.  Orders may also be placed on-line at mixedbagdesigns.com.  Click on the Fundraiser tab and then click Shop to Support a Fundraiser. Our fundraiser ID is 331625. All orders and payments are due NLT Friday, March 16th.

Relaxed Uniform begins on Monday, April 16th!  Only about a month from now - this is the Monday that we return from April vacation.  Please be sure that you have given yourself time to replace any uniform items that may be worn out or too small.  Visit landsend.com for replacement items using our school code - 900132150.  CHOICE cards are available for Land's End!

Granny's Attic & Granny's Boutique - It is that time of year!!! We encourage families to donate unwanted treasures they no longer need. Items must be in good to excellent condition and clean. Last year Granny’s Attic made over $20,000 and one-half of those proceeds directly benefited St. Mary’s School! This year we will once again be accepting clean gently used coats and clothing. Antiques or collectibles will be specially priced. If you are donating an item that has a cord or remote please tape it to the item. Items that we will not accept due to state regulations and/or are not of interest for buyers are: automobile tires, computers, monitors, printers, old computer software, paint, chemicals, fertilizers, batteries, full size appliances, magazines, Reader’s Digest, textbooks, encyclopedias, mattresses, TV’s, skis, car seats, heavy exercise equipment, trunks, dorm refrigerators and disposable or personal items such as cosmetics, electric razors, or toothbrushes.
